Purchase Mailing Lists…

If you want to reach businesses and consumers who regularly buy products and services like the ones you offer, you may want to purchase a mailing list. A mailing list provides contact information for prospects you can approach by mail, e-mail, or telephone.

You'll want to purchase a mailing list that is targeted towards specific types of customers. You can choose the demographics, purchasing habits, company size, income, etc. to refine the list for a more focused audience. A highly targeted mailing list can help you reach customers with a more specific message.

These lists can be a one time use or multiple use that is good for one year. There are also saturation listings which are a one time use. If you are interested in receiving more information or a quote, contact Estimating at estimating@colortechinc.com. Please include the search criteria you would like for your mail list.

Mail List Requirements…

The following file formats are accepted for mailing lists. (You must include record column (header) titles):

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Access - Your queries must be correct and include only the names you want in the mail list.
  • Comma Delimited

Separate Columns

Many mail lists are submitted incorrectly without separate columns for each field (Business, Name, Address, City, State, Zip, etc.) It is necessary for each category to be separated into its own column. If your mailing list is not submitted correctly, it could delay your job and possibly incur additional costs if we fix it.

Column Names

To save time and help get your mailing out the door faster, listed below are the suggested column titles:

  • Company
  • First Name *
  • Last Name *
  • Address 1 (Street Address)
  • Address 2 (Apt./Suite/Floor)
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code

* The First Name and Last Name fields can be combined into one single field (Full Name).

Separate Worksheets or Files

If you need to submit more than one mailing list for your job, you will be charged for the additional lists. Either submit the mail lists in different files or, if you choose to have them on separate worksheets, please inform us so we know to include them.

Foreign Records

If a mailing list has foreign addresses included, you will be contacted. We can either disregard the foreign addresses or mail them separately through the USPS.

Non-Profit Mailings

Non-Profit groups can apply to the U.S. Postal Service for approval to mail at special Non-Profit postage rates. This class of mail is a lower priced Standard Mail rate with the same delivery time-frames. Once the USPS approves the application, we can mail for that organization and the documentation will remain on file for all future mailings.

Below are the forms required by the USPS. Please fill out the appropriate form and fax it to 717-274-0334 attention Alicia Weiler. Once Colortech receives the application, it will be sent to the appropriate post office to be approved.

PS3624 - Application for Non-Profit- Use this form if you have never been approved by a post office for non-profit mailing. The approval process for this form can take up to a month to be approved. (Since this process can take so long, once the application is stamped "Received" at the post office, you may start mailing at the Pre-Sort Standard rate. Once the application is approved, the discount will be retroactive to the application's received date. Colortech must then request a refund for those mailings.)

PS3623 - Application for Non-Profit at an Additional Post Office - Use this form if you have been previously approved by another post office. The approval process for this form will usually take 1-3 business days.
