I have a booklet 51/2 by 8 1/2 and I am plannig to redisign as a flat so I will avoid tabbing. Actually by tabber only does 1″. Is this can be done. Reply edomenec@mansfield.edu
Yes, you can do it as long as you change the back panel of the letter piece to accommodate the new flat regulations. See this post for the new rules of flat design. Remember though that your postage will go up in price from a letter to a flat. Depending on the weight and pieces it could be more economical to outsource the tabbing if your machine can not do it.
